Geopackage is a standardized file format that can handle both vector files and raster files. This file format can handle tables, attributes and meta-data and is structured in several internal data-sets that together form a database.
Geopackage is created to facilitate the adaptation and transfer of information between different systems. What mainly distinguishes Geopackage from other file formats is the grouping field. An overview of the data in a Geopackage file can be read with readers for SQlite.
•Only one file can be imported at a time. •Settings that are made in the window for generating mapping files are applicable during the entire session provided that no changes are made during the session. |

Select character set for map file |
UTF-8 Character encoding used to represent text encoded in Unicode. Supports most characters available. |

ISO-8859-1 Character encoding used to represent text. Supports Western European and Latin characters. |
|||
IBM850 Character encoding used to represent text in DOS Supports basically the same characters as ISO-8859-1. |
|||
Warn about unmapped |
Performs a check between the data in the source file and the data in the mapping file. In the case that something is unmapped, this is shown in the import log. For example, if a line color is changed to purple in the source file, and this change does not correspond to data in the mapping file, the log file will state that purple lines does not exist in the mapping file. |
||
Background map |
Implements the import faster when a file is mapped as a background map. Background map can be used when handling simple graphic objects such as houses. Background map renders only the object's lines. Instead of rendering the object as a whole.
|
||
Import |
Imports the selected file to the application. |

Cancel |
Cancels the session and closes the window. |
