Deletes an object. All graphical components and all data components related to the object are deleted.
1.Select Edit > Object > Delete object, or press delete object in the toolbar.
2.In the graphical view select the object you wish to delete. The dialog for Delete object opens.
3.Press OK to delete the object, or Cancel to cancel the function.
If you confirm to delete an object and the object is connected to one or more other objects, a warning dialog opens where you can select: •Disconnect and delete - Deletes the connections to other objects and then deletes the object. •Show connections - Opens a table showing the object connections. Press the Disconnect and delete button to disconnect the object from the objects in the table, and then delete the object. •Cancel - Cancel the function. |
Because of the Net regulation, there is another functionality for deleting objects. Objects cannot be deleted if they have ever been in the In use state. Instead, these objects should have their state changed to Destroyed.
