Places a branch joint on an existing line and splits the line where the branch joint is placed.

1.Left-click on a point on the line where a joint is to be placed. The proposed split position is shown with a solid red cross  () and the line is highlighted with the color of highlighted objects.

2.Left-click again to accept the split position, right-click to select a different split position.

3.Then click on the line segment that should be the original line or right-click to undo.

4.If the line object exists in several map products, the line will be shared in the other map product as well and the Map Products window will open.

5.Select the View option to display the object in the selected map product or Close to close the window.
