<< Click to Display Table of Contents >> Administration > Menu reference > Administration > Tool for switching device symbols |
The tool is used to display and manage symbol settings for switching devices. It corresponds to the management of the so-called elstate_symbols. The tool provides a clear overview of how the symbol is displayed depending on the switching state, object category, voltage level and other parameters. You can easily create, edit and delete rows in the table. There is also a function to update all existing symbols according to the changes made in the table.
1.Select Administration > Tool for switching device symbols.
2.Select object type from the list on the left.
3.Perform the desired action in the table. For example, you can:
oAdd rows:
a.Press .
b.Enter Subtype, switching states, Object category and Main symbol.
When you select multiple options in the fields to add rows, a row is created for each unique combination of these. Selecting All under Subtype creates a general row that applies to all subtypes - as long as there is not a more specific row for a particular subtype. A specific setting for an individual subtype takes precedence and overrides the general setting. |
c.Press Add. The row is added to the table.
d.Enter desired symbol settings directly in the respective column.
oEdit or delete existing rows:
▪Double-click in a field to edit it.
▪Right-click on one or more selected rows to:
•Delete - You can also select rows and press .
•Copy
•Paste
4.Press Save to save all changes to the table.
5.To update existing symbols according to the changes made in the table:
a.Press .
b.Check the rows to be updated and press OK.
