This report presents a compact view of information on one or more cables or one or more equipment objects, such as an ODF. The presentation is made on the fiber / thread level and it shows information on eight objects:

•Cable - Even if the tool is started from an ODF or similar, the information is presented for the connected cable.

•Fiber

•Connection

•Node A - This is one of the endpoints for a fiber level trace.

•Node B - This is the other endpoint of a fiber level trace.

•Service - If more than one service is linked to the connection or linked as service above or service below to the service, those are also shown with multiple lines for the same fiber.

a.Services linked directly to the connection are shown in bold text. The values in the columns for Service path below and Service path above will show the ID of the service, i.e. the ID of the service is repeated in three columns.

b.Services linked as service below are shown in non-bold text. If that service is a direct child of the main service, the Service path below is empty, while the Service path above shows the main service. If the linked service is a service below to a service below to the main service (i.e. a grandchild), the Service path above shows child and main service separated by a “/”.

c.Services linked as service above are shown in non-bold text. If that service is a direct parent of the main service, the Service path above is empty, while the Service path below shows the main service. If the linked service is a service above to a service above to the main service (i.e. a grandparent), the Service path below shows parent and main service separated by a “/”.

•Fiber chain

•Customer - If multiple customers are linked to the service, multiple lines will be shown.

 

The tool can be started from different objects, but the result is always presented for a cable.

The table can be exported to a spreadsheet or PDF.

2.Select an object in the map, for example; line, pipe, cable, ODF or switch.
