This function create and place cables in ducts that are selected by placing a polygon around the cross sections of the ducts. If the ducts are connected to other ducts, e.g. as part of a multiduct design, the cables will extend also to the connected ducts.
The created cables have a standard configuration that sets the ID of the cables to the same ID as the parent pipe. That configuration can be modified, please contact Digpro for help.

•This function requires the Designer module. •The selection of ducts is based on cross section symbols for the ducts. Ducts that are geographically present within the polygon but that does not have a cross section presence will not get included in the command. |
1.Choose Autogeneration > Place cables > Put cables in ducts.
2.Place a polygon around the cross sections of the ducts that should be used.The dialog Cable data is opened.
3.Enter the subtype and cable type in the drop-down list as well as any other desired attribute values and press OK. The status bar at the bottom of the application window displays the number of objects that were created.
4.If needed, place cross sections and/or update existing cross sections in order to see the recently placed cables.
