Common notifications when placing

When you place or edit objects in the graphical view, these icons may appear next to the mouse pointer:

The following message appears in the status bar:

The component is not visible at this scale; zoom in/out...

Explanation: The graphic for the object you are placing on the map is not visible at the map scale currently used in the map view.

Solution: Zoom in or out on the map by scrolling the mouse wheel until the object’s symbol becomes visible next to the mouse pointer.

See message in the status bar:

The object is hidden from the Map tab; please make it visible.
Explanation: The object’s graphic is hidden in the map tree.
Solution: Left-click the Map tab in the sidebar, locate the object in the map tree, and make its graphic visible by right-clicking the object and selecting Show.

Invalid map product. Visible in other products, for example [map suggestion]
Explanation: The graphic component for the object you are placing is missing from the map displayed in the view you are pointing to.
Solution: Change the map or point to a view/window that has a valid map; see the map suggestion in the status bar.
