A converter, alternatively media converter or fiber/copper converter converts the optical signal in single or multimode fiber to electrical signal in copper Ethernet, for example via RJ-45.

Create a product specification for a converter type

1.Select Administration > Create Product Specification > Converter frame.

2.Fill in basic information about the device, on the left of the form.Note! Pink fields are mandatory, i.e. they must be filled.

3.On the right, the module templates that together form the converter template are created and edited. A converter consists of at least one module, which describes how many fiber and other (copper) connectors there are, and of what type.

4.Click OK.

5.By using button Change all objects that use this product specification, you can updated product specification and all linked objects.
