Generate connectors

Contacts are created by generating connectors for an ODF. To do this, you must have set the ODF type attribute on the ODF you want to add connectors to. You do this in the attributes form when you place/create the ODF unit, or afterwards: Select View/Change attributes for the current ODF. It is the ODF type attribute that controls how many connectors are generated.

There is a checkbox, Generate Connectors at the bottom of the Place tab. If this is ticked and ODF type is selected in the form, the question is asked if you want to generate connectors after placing the ODF.

If you have chosen to generate connectors during placement, and have not filled in the number of connectors, you will receive a question about number of connectors after placement of the ODF.

If the ODF type was not set during placement, select Edit > ODF > Generate Connectors or right-click on the ODF and select Related Data > Generate Connectors.

If the ODF type is not set, the user is prompted to select the ODF type before generation of connectors can take place.

To verify that connectors have been generated, select View/Change Attributes of the current ODF and the Related Data tab. Expand the tree menu for the ODF and see the connector objects created.
