Free graphics are objects such as lines, arrows, text, symbols that can be placed in the map to make markings or clarifications. Free graphics can be used to clarify a change or to pay attention to something in the network for another user. For example, by an arrow that clearly points to a change made, or an informative text about the change. You can choose the color, shape and size of the free graphics. For example, different colors could be used to distinguish who added the free graphics to the change set.
The difference between unpostable and postable graphics is that postable should only be used when there is a clarification / marking that is permanent. Temporary clarifications / markings should never be posted. Instead, choose to use free unpostable graphics. Then another user can still enter the same changeset and see markings / clarifications.
If an object was created using the Tools > Template for placers function, the templates appear as child objects of the object in the Place Object tree view. They work in the same way as the current placer with the difference that the default values set in the template are displayed directly in the attribute form of the object. These values are not permanent but can be edited.
The attributes set for the template can be checked by right-clicking on the template object and selecting Show template contents. |
