Connect nodes to route is the generic tool that operates on several types of node objects. More restrictive variants of this tool include: Connect customer nodes, connect drop-off points and connect street crossing points to route. The function connects nodes to routes automatically by first selecting a route and then place a polygon in order to select the nodes.
•The function requires the Designer module. •This tool requires that an optimistic changeset is used. •The tool can also be started with one or more pre-selected routes. In the case of more than one route, the tool will, for each node, find the nearest of the selected routes. |
1.Choose Autogeneration > Connect nodes > Connect nodes to route.
2.Select a route and place a polygon around the node/nodes that should be connected to the selected route, e.g. connection points.
3.Fill in attribute values and select the subtype for the route objects that will be created.
4.For each node, a new route is created as a straight line to the nearest point of the selected route. At the point, the selected route is split with an event node, and the new route is connected to the node and to the event node.
5.The status bar will display number of connected nodes and nodes that were skipped because they were already connected.
