You create the (micro)ducts in a multiduct object by generating them. In order for ducts to be generated, you must first have specified Type of multiduct in the attribute form of the multiduct. The Type attribute specifies the number of microducts in the multiduct. You can choose to enter the number of ducts in connection with placing the multiduct in the location map, or afterwards.
Before placing a multiduct object in the location map, make sure the Generate Ducts checkbox is selected. When you then place the multiduct in the map, it automatically gets the number of ducts you enter in the attribute form.
If you chose not to generate ducts when you created a multiduct, select Edit > Duct > Generate Ducts. Or right-click a multiduct and select Related Data > Generate Ducts from the right-click menu.
If the cable type is undefined, you will be prompted to select cable type in the attribute form before ducts can be generated.
To verify that ducts have been generated for a multiduct object, select View/Change Attributes for the current multiduct and click the Related Data tab. Expand the multiduct tree menu and verify that the duct objects have been created.
